Never used it and I don't want to have to relearn throw distance for grenades.

Gonna add to this slightly. At the very least it should cost “0”. I get if it takes a mod slot sort of but as I recall it still makes something that should be mildly intrinsic less in the way.

Another idea. Make Fastball intrinsic, but to trigger it you have to hold the grenade button, charging up the throwing distance. Quick tap for close range, fast throw. Holding longer for more range but also longer time til throw.

Would be nice to have a toggle option. My reason for this option is because Grenades like vortex/circular aoe ones i feel like they throw me off when i have Fast Ball on, since its harder to judge the trajectory with those grenades and Fast Ball. These are for area lockdown tactics in PvP so they are really a priority for me in how i place them Grenades that require more precision or you generally want to get to their destination as quick as possible like Fusion Grenades, i love Fast Ball for.

No, fastball hurts some nades and buffs others and sometimes a playstyle demands that fastball be either on or off regardless of grenade. If it was intrinsic that would blow to no end. It either needs to be a toggle on the armor piece without requiring the mod (traction would get this too on boots) or it should be left as is. I think fastball is enough of a modifier on grenade usage and playstyle that it can stay as is. It being a mod that only costs 1 makes sense.

It shouldn’t be intrinsic. Never used fastball until recently and I don’t think it’s necessary. My thoughts. If you use Fastball for a while then it’s gonna feel bad without. If you don’t and put it on it’ll feel just as bad. It’s a user preference. Traction was changed (I’m assuming) to be a leveled field so console can play with PC and not feel as sluggish. It also has levels to almost the same non-traction benefits as a scalar. Enables players that didn’t use traction to still have around the same feel. Fastball isn’t a mod that benefits everyone all the time. Sprinting does- hence why traction was added as a setting

Traction was slightly different as it was essentially useless on pc so it gave m n k an extra slot to play with vs controller players for the same results. Fastball is the same across inputs so every player needs to make the same choice - is the one energy and slot use worth it? I hate having to fit it in but it’s all to do with making mods worthwhile and decisions/build options worthwhile. It needs to stay as is.
