Before void 3.0, it gave a bonus 25% damage on top of improving the grenade functionality.
Now, it just improves grenade functionality, no damage buff. In addition, it only has one fragment slot, suggesting it’s super powerful.
Now look at the new Touch of Flame on Solar 3.0 dawnblade. It has two fragment slots, and just straight up gives more to grenades, with 2/4 getting more damage. You don’t even need to charge these nades either.
Idk what the goal here is, but the difference of power level is staggering. All I can say is that void warlock feels pretty awful in stuff like GMs now.

I gave up on overcharging grenades, I have more fun using the child of the gods. Being able to apply slow, regen grenades and deal more damage is just better than overcharging grenades. Devour is a must have, anyone that takes that off is a troll.

Just run Child and weaken everything on the field. Void lock is still superior to solar lock minus fusion grenades. I have zero issues in GMs on void. Yes you are right though Chaos Accelerant was gutted from its former self, but the subclass is still great. At least next season you'll be able to use it as Starfire fusion spam is reliant on classy which will be gone next season. Expecting your team to heal you while you spam empowering rift in GMs is a bit foolish.

Just run Voidwall with echo of Remnants to make it last linger. Deals just as much damage as an Overcharged Vortex Grenade without using an Aspect slot. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
-
Thats taking it in isolation How much more ways do voidlocks have to capitalize off of those grenades? A single kill gives volatile rounds with that fragment on, which means an entire room is going to die. Consider how these things work within the rest of their own kit, rather than how they compare to things in completely different kits.

It also got a damage buff as well. Overall, it’s far better. It was incredibly good for contest VotD.
