So the last time I played Destiny 2 was about 2 weeks ago now at the time of writing this post.
I was in the middle of a private match with my friend and suddenly started having connection issues.
I eventually got disconnected, quit to desktop, relaunched Destiny 2, and then got the dreaded message.
"Account had been banned"
Now, for some people this might not be a big deal, but for somebody who has been apart of the community since nearly the beginning of the Red War, before Osirus, before Warmind, and sinking over 1,000 hours into this game, while also trying to balance out my free time with my busy work schedule, this was a stab to the heart.
Just out of nowhere, no rhyme or reason, a ban on my account with everything unlocked, all of my time and money spent toward the community and the company... GONE...
And when I pleaded my case to bungie by submitting tickets with long in depth details on the situation in paragraphs of information, I was hopeful that somebody would investigate my case and undo the ban...
But apparently a devoted loyal human being who has been through the ups and downs with this community is not worth their time, I would simply get an email exactly 1 week after both tickets simply stating, my ticket was denied...
At this point, I have no hope, and my disappointment is immeasurable.
Bungie has shown their true colors, that they don't see us as people with hearts and minds, but as numbers, and if some random employee decides that something is off by a small margin, then all of my time and effort should be meaninglessly washed away.
Now before I end my rant, I would like to state that I have never cheated in destiny. I've been through the dark times of hackers running ramped when Perfect aim was popular, and everybody and their mother had aimbot.
I can truthfully say I was not one of those people, and that time that was a LONG time ago, so I don't know honestly what I did at any point in time to "deserve" a ban...
This is ShownDown, Guardian veteran signing off
And fellow Guardians, no matter what try to say or do to make themselves seem like they're "for the people"
keep both eyes open
