Trials is so unbalanced in terms of Skill it's pathetic, first game on a card could be against flawless players.
I am not the best PvP player, but I am not the worst, I'd say im slightly above average. And I try to learn and get better, but no matter how hard I try I just cant seem to win, at most I'll get 2-4 wins but mostly because my friends carry me who are MUCH better than I am. So I give up, never gonna play another trials again because there's no point.

Edited by Sky_hawk: 6/20/2022 8:01:15 PMThis weekend… will be freelance… If you’re truly slightly above average then you should get a flawless on Sunday (when the flawless pool kicks in) or Monday when it will get even easier than Sunday since more and more players will be getting their flawlesses. And if you can’t get to the lighthouse in freelance then it means that you’re way below average in pvp and you need more experience in the crucible. Fyi: There is lots of players with 0.7 or 0.8 KDs in trials that go to the lighthouse in freelance specifically on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday before the reset. But don’t just wait till Sunday reset… Start playing freelance on Friday (get familiar with the map, find best weapon loadouts that work for you best, etc). Even if you won’t get many wins on Friday or Saturday that is still OK as you’re gaining experience playing against better players… which should pay off on Sunday after reset once the flawless pool kicks in (those matches will be much easier, and Monday games should get even easier than Sunday).

Absolutely hate to break it to you, but you’re below average after looking at your stats and only have 700 hours of PvP. I know that can seem like a lot, but it’s not. I have 4000+ hours for example. You are also using double primary and that’s a no no. Take the time to improve

You do know that Trials was created for these hard core pvp players and as a hard core pvp mode has NEVER had skill based matchmaking and should never have as it is against the spirt of the game mode. While Bungie has made it easier for players to play Trials and get rewards they will only hold your hand so far. If you want to go to the Lighthouse you have to prove you are worthy by defeating all opposition no matter what skill level they are and no matter what skill level your team mates are. No one is forcing you to play Trials. As a wise man once said "if you can not take the heat stay away from the fire".
