I would love it if the 4th aspect for Solar (which we hopefully get one day) would give Burning Maul and Hammer of Sol more melee attack options
I really miss the [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLSY1hoNuBQ]melee option for Hammer of Sol from Destiny 1[/url]. Granted, we got that "hammer charge" as a shoulder charge, but personally I would consider using a super melee aspect over the sunspot aspect, simply for the fun.
When we look at [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbsj4grChFI]Arcstrider with its attack combos[/url], then we see something like this for Hammer of Sol and Burning Maul would be possible.
And honestly, I wish Burning Maul melee attacks were more serious than being a [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBgIbACpU_8]super fidget spinner[/url].
Some base combos like in [url=https://youtu.be/CUqQzr9oZdc?t=63]Kingdoms of Amalur[/url] would be much more interesting in my opinion than boring spinning around the own Z-Axis. They even could give the swings AoE-properties so a Titan using them could hit several targets in front of them, like the spin already does.
In other words, make it look cooler and give the attacks more depth.
