I'm playing D2 with the xbox game pass on pc. I came back to play D2 after 1.5 months of not playing. When I start the game everything is fine, my fps says that I have around 160-200 steady fps. However, whenever I click my mouse or press a button on my keyboard the fps drops instantly. The longer I press a button the lower the fps goes, the lowest it got was 23fps. When I let go of the button the fps jumps back to 160-200. This starts happening when I'm in the character select screen and it continues everywhere else in the game. For some reason this only happens with mouse and keyboard because whenever I plug in my controller I have no fps drops, I can just normally move and shoot in the game. I've tried the fixes shown in this video [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5P6q3vn-38&ab_channel=FreddtorOfficialGaming[/url] I also tried editing the low latency mode from 1 to 0 in the cvars.xml file as a couple of posts and sites suggested. Sadly none of these fixes worked for me. Since I have no issues with controller I thought something was wrong with my mouse and keyboard but every other game I play works just fine. So I decided to take a shot in the dark and downloaded D2 on steam because one of my friends plays on steam and he said that he never had issues. I just assumed it wouldn't change anything since it's the same game but I tried it anyway. To my surprise the steam version works perfectly with keyboard and mouse, no fps drops at all. Now the only issue is that the dlc isn't crossplatform and I did buy the witch queen dlc when it came out. So without having to (re)buy all the dlc on steam or play with a controller, does anyone know what causes this issue and how can I fix it?
