From what I’ve seen, Gambit invasions are the most critical talking for for the overall balance of Gambit.
Seeing how invaders often sit in the regions they spawn and open with rockets/snipers/heavy whilst using the game-given wallhacks, a big changeup might serve the gamemode well.
I propose using the Eye of Riven/Taken Essence mechanic for invaders. Mechanically, it fits the theme of becoming a taken invader, and it can also standardize the invader experience so that it can be more easily balanced. Maybe a few (maybe three?) near/direct hits with the blast can kill a guardian, and the invader will be naturally more tanky as they need to get closer (maybe tanking two rockets)
I feel like this would be a fun and enjoyable mechanic to play with/against. It would also be more important to be skilled with in-game mechanics than to be familiar with a powerful loadout.
