So aside from getting good, getting carried, and not constantly getting one win then getting a 5 loss streak, how am I supposed to break out from the 4798 glory rank range?
I have yet to have a decent flow of matches where I am not getting pub stomped by an 876x flawless player or decently challenging where I have a chance. Not since a night where I had 14-2 games winning first.
I am not the best comp player by any means, but if I can't get past this hump, and can't get the last 800 glory for legend, I'm probably never touching this gods forsaken nonsense until it's actually proven to not be a cesspool.
Is there any actual advice that can be given other than Bungie implementing actual matchmaking and limiting "similar-skill" to actual skill?

Imo once you hit 4500 always just use lfg to put together a team of people close to your skill to grind out the rest with. When you get on a losing streak just stop, walk away and come back 30-60mins later and try again refreshed instead of staying there and getting mad. If you have life advantage use it. I noticed a couple nights ago when I tried to help some not so good pvpers in survival that despite being literally about to win because we have 1 life and the enemy has none left people will constantly ape in and die, losing the life advantage and soon later the whole round. That's about all I can think of rn so Goodluck
