It is currently possible to obtain a score of 600,000.
By using a cheese (cheese forever) it is possible for fireteams to achieve a score of 600,000+ simply by farming themselves and stacking the revive medals, effectively negating the point of the competitive playlist entirely.
This exploit skews the top 10% score threshold well above what anyone can attain without using these exploits. This is not in keeping with the competitive nature of the games and serves to devalue them in general.
Bungie please remove these medals from the scoring metric and reset the scores for the player base so that a meaningful competition can occur.

It's a competitive event. Should be treated as a competitive game and exploits go against TOS. I want this emblem. I worked my -blam!- off for over 9 hours trying to break 320k LEGITIMATELY. I don't want an "I'm a cheater" emblem. I want a "I'm dedicated to the spirit of the game" emblem...[/b]

We had another "competition" for scoring back in D1 during the Prison of Elders where Bungie spotlighted the highest scoring team every Thursday. Now, Bungie said that to get a high score you'd have to slay and get a fast completion time. Not true. Not true at all. In fact, for the most part, you could take your sweet time, heck not even kill everything. Turns out that Bungie made it so activating your super and making orbs of light were worth a fair bit of points. There was also a mechanic that netted you less and less points the longer you stayed in, after a certain time your score would gradually decrease but even that didn't matter. Want to know why? Alpha Lupin bubble Titans. You see, back in D1, Alpha Lupi bubble Titans could pop a super and make 3 giant orbs, which would give you nearly 55% of your super. So 3 Titans chaining 3 bubbles over and over again made it so you always had a super and spawned orbs. Players could easily get the Gold medal score which was nearly 100k in THE FiRST ROOM in little to no time at all and mind you there were 6 rooms in total. You could get a score so ridiculously high that even the deminishing return didn't matter. Bungie highlighted the best scoring players and then stopped after the second or third week when other people found out what they were doing to get such a high score. Didn't matter how fast you ran it for the bonus competition points if people could obliterate your highschool by chaining bubbles. 🤣 Point is, these scoring competitions don't mean jack. People are always gonna cheese the scores.

I don’t think the emblem has the elite and sweaty vibe now that it can be achieved by anyone with not playing the objective. With that said it’s an emblem in a game where we kill space Rhinos. Whoever thought dying as many times as you can in an activity would get you a better score.

The minute any seasonal content or Annual Event comes out people are 100% going to cheese it and I feel like Bungie takes no precautions at all lol The emblem will probably be given to everybody for free or for anyone reaching “X” amount of points in the playlist

It never should have been locked behind a top 10% score wall in the first place I’m happy this is going on cause it was bs and only rewarding players like eso who could solo it and hit 300k or more the better fix would be to put a cumulative score for the three weeks say have a total cumulative of 750k at the end of the games cause getting plat legit is not exactly easy but not hard either If you work at it

6 RepliesPeople seem so enthralled by this, it's almost sad. Let me ask those of you complaining about this "not cheese" MEDAL EARNING, point bonus achievement...how exactly does it affect you? Does it pay your bills? Does it earn your money? Does it put food on your table. Does it do anything in your life where you have to, out of sheer self-motivation that you MUST be in the top 10%? That instead of taking advantage of a loophole that not only benefits your team, but actually rewards you for doing so, you all have to complain on the forums about it like these people just broke the law? Now, if my GG was trackable, you'd see that my highest score is 277k, nowhere near the 600-700k you guys are seeing...but b*tching about this is about as sad as complaining about people who take advantage of certain perks/meta's to one phase raid/NF bosses, or whining about those who used to farm kills in Thrallway...

I was in the top 10% for a while legit, then I checked and realized I was in 20%, checked youtube only to see tons of videos all released around the same time about “guaranteed top 10% guide!!!” Sad times :(

I don't care about others and their methods. Even if it's a sportive event, it's not reality: there's no real honor. As a solo player I enjoy the competitive-matchmade. - That should be permanent.

just make the emblem rewarded for anyone scoring a 250k or higher. figure that's a pretty good score for doing it without cheese.
