Bungie just spawn us with at least a 1/3 of our special/heavy ammo after a wipe, especially if you're not gonna give us any ammo drops. I just had to beat the boss of the Lightblade Guardian Games Nightfall strike with no heavy ammo because I used it all in the first attempt and then none dropped after that.
