Occasionally, whenever I'm trying to drop a rift down, the rift will consume my ability energy but won't stay. It just vanishes and I'm left with no rift and no energy. I noticed this running Grasp of Avarice, this was where it frequently happened, but it has happened to me in multiple other places. It does tend to just vanish if dropped on a strange surface, like something uneven especially, but it's not limited to uneven surfaces. occasionally it will just vanish even on a flat surface.
