The title says it all, and unpopular take, but allow me to clarify.
Void 3.0 is overtuned because its the new thing. Exceedingly so. I get that.
But its a problem that we had with Stasis, and yet its being repeted here as well, only its worse.
Its fun to thrash enemies with a new toy, sure. But it gets old real quick when you want a challenge.
I simply LOOK in the direction of enemies with any void weapon and watch them explode and then chain others in a cacophony of purple, the likes that wouldnt be out of place in a Michael Bay movie.
I can pop a Barricade and be almost completely invincible as I spin in a circle, mowing down enemies, with the exception to high level nightfalls.
I am at the point where Im actively a(Void)ing, (Ha ha) using anything with Void at all costs (weapons, sub-classes), as the novelty has worn off and feels more oppressive than Stasis in PVP.
Some tool is going to say; 'but D2 is ABOut spACE WiZARds', and I understand that, but Gun-play is an integral part of D2, and is being shoved further and further into the dirt as our abilities get stronger and stronger.
I can run strikes, lost sectors and even the seasonal activity without using a single gun due to ability powercreep.
I could before this season with Void 3.0, certainly, but I actually had to think about it. Now I can switch off the brain and roll over everything in my path as I drool onto my keyboard.
'Void 3.0 is built around high level content'
Ok, but 90% for your time spent in game is NOT going to be in that high level content. So why should it be built around it then?
Weapons mean very little now, in no small part to the mental state forced by the 'crafting system', however, I am yet to find a SINGLE WEAPON that I actually care about this season, as every enemy dies before I even get to use it, and that weapon is later quickly dismantled with the moniker of 'trash' thrown at it. I can only remember the name of TWO weapons this season, that being Funnelweb (because Void meta) and Osteo Striga (because auto-aim crutch).
My solution?
All cooldowns in Void should get pumped up by 1min or 2, and weakening/overshield/chain explosions should be harder to activate or be on individual cooldowns. (I realise thats not much of a solution, but Im not a dev, Im just spitballing. Anything to make it less painful)
Bungie said that they wanted the old Light Subclasses to feel outdated and infeiror, and they do, but not in the ways they intended. In fact, IMO they feel better than Void 3.0, by the simple merit that they dont over do it.
I hope to god that Void gets tuned way the hell down, and Arc and Solar 3.0 dont turn into this cluster-truck.
Is anyone else feeling the weight of Void 3.0, or am I drowning in the deep?

Edited by BRAZACK: 4/19/2022 10:21:39 PMAgreed, i hate the current state of the game. I bought the season pass and all i did was the story missions. I dont play anymore/not motivated to play this game no more. I logged on, on sunday to do some ib but since i havent been playing and my light lvl is so low i got slapped but i did notice that the state of the game is garbage. I kept getting killed by one weapon, i guess its the new meta. Its the new trials pulse rifle. What happened to hand cannons man? Hawkmoon cant compete in pvp atm only crimson and ace are somewhat useable. Idk i'll wait to come back until destiny 3 i guess.

If by "previous" you mean "Destiny 1" then I wholeheartedly agree.

Before crying. Wait for the other 3.0 subclasses. And no...this game is not about the gunplay. It is about the abilities we have as gaurdians. For gunplay go play CoD.

Edited by Ghostfire239: 4/8/2022 8:52:08 PMI think you’re drowning my friend. I love void 3.0 and think it’s perfect. I still use my guns just as much as before (if not more)

Edited by Logan Kssidy: 4/9/2022 7:30:59 AMWorst review ever!!!! Judging the gameplay by your stats or ability its not fair… not everyone owns your, stats, armor… go play somewhere else… with more guns.
