Today I was looking to apply the Desert Matte shader to my armour, but I noticed it wasn't an option. I check my collection, and sure enough it hasn't been unlocked (even though I know full well I've unlocked it in the past). Regardless, I try to unlock it again hoping that that will resolve the issue. It states that I obtain it from "planetary faction chests". So, I hop over to the throne world and go around finding some Scorn-themed chests. After a bunch, nothing drops. No shader. So, I go to other planets, opening up new chests around the world hoping they fall under the "planetary faction chests" category. No such luck. I'm at a loss. I know I have this shader. And even if I didn't, I've opened such a countless number of chests from all forms of content that I can almost guarantee that I've open enough faction chests for a green 'uncommon' shader to have dropped. I even tried ranking up some vendors to see if that would solve it. Nothing. Is there somewhere REALLY specific I should be going? Or is this a mistake on Bungie's end? p.s. according to light.gg, 98% of players own this shader. I sincerely doubt I am part of the 2% given the near-200 hours I've played this game.
