I’m pretty dissatisfied with the current array of weapons on offer. They’re so very subpar and average. All my best weapons were sunset.
I need a good strong kinetic primary weapon. Currently I have False Promises which I do like. But I want to run another class of weapon. I like hard hitting and precise with an emphasis of stability and impact.
Recommendations on solid load outs would be appreciated.
Edit: Appreciating all these recommendations! I use a lot if what’s been touted like Outbreak, No Time to Explain. All great recommendations. Legendary weapons are more what I’m out for as I often run Sleeper Simulant in high level activities.
I’m going to chase after Fatebringer!

Herod-C if you like High Impact Auto rifles. Updated perk pool and has great synergy if you run Stasis. If you want to get away from auto rifles then try Syncopation with a Zen Moment and Frenzy roll. If you like sidearms then try Empirical Evidence. Aggressive burst sidearms are really good at add clear and it has a great perk pool.

I’d definitely recommend fatebringer for sure, if you get the opportunity to go for the timelost variant it’s well worth it!

PvP? Fate bringer, palindrome, shayuras wrath, insidious, grid skipper are the first that come to my mind
-
Perses-D. Really, rapid hit and explosive payload are the only option for it, but it’s really good weapon that fits your criteria!
-
BXR-55 is my favorite primary for PvP. Don’t find any kinetics to my liking, yet.

Hard hitting and precise with emphasis on stability. Bruh you just mentioned a hand cannon lol. It honestly depends on you, we all know hand cannons are the best weapons in the game but I unfortunately hate them. I suck with them even though at the same time they are forgiving as heck to use. I fell in love with SMG’s, I’ve always been gifted with tracking so tracking my opponents is natural for me. I also get cramps when using weapons where I have to constantly press a trigger, I’m not even 30 yet so I should not be having that problem! Just try every single weapon and see what feels right to you. Ive seen some players that are just gifted with side arms, Ive seen a guy that was so good with bows I actually felt hopeless against him. Ive dealt with godly scout rifle users that are effective at any range including close range which I found bizarre. I am good at sniping and I’m good at tracking so my build personally happens to be an SMG and a sniper. What works for me may not work for you, don’t use a hand cannon just because they are meta, you can break the meta depending on your play style. True skill comes from players who are able to dominate other players that don’t require the use of a meta, so go ahead and try every weapon. You will eventually find something that feels good to you.

If your not running high level nightfalls just use double special
-
Outbreak Perfected with Glaive.
-
they're all good - just depends on the roll. Personally, I'm Striga (for close range), Salvager's Salvo for the multi-kills up close and at distance, and a RL with lasting impression/tracking
-
My Timelost Fatebringer is pretty much always equipped. I highly recommend doing Master Templar challenge this season. Your PL is high enough.
-
Striga in the top slot. Anything else in the middle. Works for all PVE content.
-
Night watch scout with full auto mod. Good in pve or pvp currently 👍🏼
-
Witherhoard is great in PvE. Also good is Outbreak Prime. Pardon the Dust with a good set of perks is great also.
-
All of the new kinetic pulses and scouts are worth a shot. Can’t think of much else.
-
I think you talking about PVE since nobody use False Promises in PVP. Based on your preference you should try rapid fire frame scout rifle, as others already mentioned, gambit give a good one, with frenzy perk it fires like a nut, hit like a trunk.
-
Personally (at least always last season), I always ran Scathelocke and Symmetry and that seemed to do wonders in PvP. At least for me.

I rarely take off fatebringer after I got the OG roll with explosive payload and firefly. EP dramatically increases range and firefly is great for crowd control with the added benefit of reload speed.
-
Fatebringer so vault of glass sounds perfect for you The gambit scout although fast firing is great and a champion mod this season The thrown world bow can be crafted to whatever you want Eyasluna handcannon has great synergy with stasis and found in the grasp of Avaris dungeon The messenger pulse rifle from trials of Osiris is hard hitting and rewards precision - it can get a perk called desperado which I consider the most fun perk in the game.
-
Messenger with high caliber rounds might work. High Caliber rounds gives it a similar feel to NTtE if you can find a similar stat profile and you don't want to use that because it takes your exotic spot. If you don't care about using your exotic spot then NTtE might be a good choice. Some people don't like the mist it emits from the barrel but you get used to it. Other than that there's all kinds of hand cannons.

Biting Winds. Kinetic bow that can be farmed on Europa.
