I have spent all my legendary shards and basically poor on focusing engrams or more specifically the gambit and trials engrams. I don't have enough to even focus the umbrals. I want legendary shards dropped from playlist activities because I don't play all that often nor have the dedication to farm up nightfalls for weapons to discard. The engram focusing cost for trials and gambit is also so high that I went through more than half my legendary shards focusing for mediocre rolls and the payoff is just not high enough to warrant focusing them.

I had up to 13,000 legendary shards when everyone was investing stonks. The season with Saint 14 coming back. Cut to I blew through 10,000 and left myself with 3,000 I did play the whole year and only got back up to 4,500

The Prosperity mods provide a decent chance of additional Legendary drops from playlists, and will pay for themself if you don't already have a fully masterworked Ghost. Unless you absolutely need to a piece of gear to be in the Pinnacle (1550-1560) band for an activity, for Grandmaster Nightfalls for example, using blue gear for infusion may equal more Legendary Shards depending on current habits.

Bungle nuked their game economy. I used to do 4 gunsmith bounties a day, just grab different guns and upgrade them. I need 4 different helmets per character, 4 or 3 different chest armors. These need to be upgraded as I progress. Last season I had 4 master worked armor in each slot per character. Raids and end game content was easier swapping armor with different mods already socketed. I have made 200 shards in a week of grinding. I convert all bright dust for upgrade modules and socket the upgrade module mods in my ghost for every activity. I can only afford 1 character for high end activity. I am not good enough to make blue armor work. I will end up saving on the cost of a PS5, monthly ps subscription, but lose the money I gave bungle. Unless I try and force them to give me a refund. Obviously do not want "covid gamers" business.
