Obviously this won't work for everyone but I fixed my crash on startup issue for the time being. I play on Steam, Win 10 Home 64 bit. After hours of troubleshooting I ended up rolling back my graphics driver. I have a Nvidia RTX 2080 Super. I rolled back from 511.79 to 511.65 and that appears to have fixed the issue.
