I love the Throneworld map; it’s huge, there’s a lot going on, but could use more enemies. However, seeing Mars and not playing on it is a disappointment. I loved the maps in both games, so how about opening it back up! I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels this way.

Mars is just for looks, it's not for life, it's not even Moen (like the sinks).
-
Patience grasshopper. DLC is only 8 days old, plenty of time for things to change/evolve. What's the rush? Plenty of stuff left to explore and/or complete with what you see and you want more?

Bungie can't do large maps. There is something about with their basic software that prevents an open world. Everything is tiny map sections connected by narrow roads or tunnels that allow the next section to load. There is also a limit on the total of all maps put together, which is why they had to remove The Tangled Shore before Witch Queen launched. There isn't room for Mars. They won't invest in modern open world software, so we're stuck with losing one map in order to gain another.

I don’t really care for patrol so I couldn’t really care less
-
I spotted a rat with this very quickly to say They vaulted it to set it up to be repackaged It as Dlc and oh if you don’t pre-order the weapons crafting table is useless and should have kept The recaster in the helm for those who didn’t This felt scummy thank the lord I have left Playing the game . RIP destiny 2014-2022

Such a waste. They brought Mars out of the DCV just to do nothing with it. This Season could have been the perfect chance to bring Escalation Protocol back into the game.
-
Bungie - Mars is back! ( small print - you only get the kids size sandbox )
-
I mean we can see Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn on the destinations screen now
-
Remember when people were mad because mars was coming back, because it was somehow lazy? Good times.
-
I was at least hoping we’d get the Psion Flayer strike back.
-
Yup. "Mars returning" seems like bs to me. I have never thought removing content we paid for was fair to begin with. Now saying they are bringing it back, but not actually doing anything close? Just a way to pump up pre-orders I guess.
-
Bump!
-
Yes please
-
Why, it serves no purpose. Like VoG being brought back since that area is going to brought back anyway in a future season instead of the entirety of Venus.
-
Next DLC my guy. You gotta pay for the privilege of a reused planet zone and a net-new strike.
-
They hinted at something happening after the raid. Maybe the rest of Mars will open up with darkness architecture everywhere. Based on this content so far, you should hold off on being mad until after what the raid reveals.

Whether we wanted it or not..

Just putting this out there, and I could be completely wrong so please keep in mind that this is just a thought -- we are literally a week into Witch Queen, and the raid hasn't dropped. Every expansion raid since Forsaken (Last Wish, Garden of Salvation, and Deep Stone Crypt) has led to some sort of World changes after its release/completion. Last Wish introduced our curse, Garden brought about the Vex Invasions, and DSC brought the Eclipse Zone and HVT's in the patrol space. Given Vow of the Disciple's direct connection to the Darkness/
The Witness
, and their influence on Mars through taking it away, and then returning it in its current state, its possible that the location hasn't been fully revealed yet. Vox Obscura takes place on planet, as well as The Arrival, so its possible that Mars is still on the way and just isn't open to us yet for story reasons. Again, this is just how I view it based on what's happened in the past. I could definitely be totally wrong so take it with a grain of salt...its just a possibility and I think that we should hold off on making judgements like this until after the raid. Witch Queen is already up there as one of the best expansions in Destiny history (if not the best), and I'm 100% confident that the raid will change things. I just don't know how...but given the scale of WQ, I'd bet it'll be more significant than something like the Vex Invasions.

It'd be awesome if we could get Rasputin back online.
