Discuss all things Destiny 2.

PvP at this point is slowly dying to some players.

I wanted to discuss something that I feel Bungie skips over for a reason and that's into PvP, and its game modes that we have as of now. PvP is in a state of being a unbalance mess, and some people told me otherwise with their own opinion if you guys have any go ahead your free to speak what you have (Expect saying "Get Good" or other Toxic nonsense listen at this point the joke or "joke" is getting old please come up with something new or more your style please). I will go into a list of what I've notice ever since then, and move on some points of hopefully getting out fixes to something everyone can agree to. (I am here for the player base not just for me) Destiny 2 (Blizzard): We all can remember when Destiny 2 came out most people during launch went ahead to get to the part were you are allowed to do PvP. Everyone knew it was a start of something new, and trying out things that we've deemed as test worthy which at a point PvP was pretty balanced with not to many problems. When the game grow though that when issues start rising from the grave just to ruin things we loved some builds were getting out of hand, and the weapons you had to use were extreme unbalanced with a feeling of having to many counters too. There were times you could be doing good then out of nowhere a Scout one or two tapped you from a far range, or a Hand Cannon somehow killed you one shot at full health when shot in the body. This issues however were being patch super quickly with somewhat a good gun balance to keep everything in order with also being in a hacker free zone because the game was run by Activision (Which now isn't doing anything) the company was alright doing their jobs, and trying their best doing what's for the game/players. (This doesn't need fixing since we are way past that but I wanted people to know if they never used the Blizzard version) Destiny 2 (Steam) Shadow Keep: Once Bungie decided they needed to break up with Activision for the main reason of forcing them to make a Destiny 3 everything started fine for the first day then it broken down to hell when a week passed. It wasn't all that bad but it was in a weird state of everything felt off, and not the same anymore due to certain changes Bungie made to many system of ours first it open the gates for hackers/cheaters to now join the games, The gun mechanics were tweak in a way players had to adapted quickly before getting into a PvP match, the build people use to run were breaking the game even more, and the offset of hitboxes or even players in general were off as of now. Do I see moving into a different company that promise players to have the game free to everyone that wanted to play it a bad idea? Well no this was great for many players that just didn't want to buy it or couldn't buy it this made things easier for Bungie too because now they get more data into what they needed to do. However this was bad because they were going base on what they had, and didn't step up what could come to them after moving into steam as I mention the gate were open for hackers/cheaters once company's got their hand into the coding of the game. Which if you remember Bungie had a Anti Cheat but it wasn't operational till a few months later. This also introduce into the Relics into the game which with the right mods broke everything into the game PvP, PvE, Gambit, Raid! Nothing was safe to what Bungie unleashed in the top of it they also added new guns/exotics to the game without doing much testing themselves which in short broke their game even more. Destiny 2 (Steam) Seasons: This started slowly becoming a thing after Shadow Keep dropped Bungie wanted to at least have more story, and actives for the players to do while they worked on getting money, patches, and new season. This also started a trend of some changes they were willing to make as to them it would fix certain issues a prime example of this (I can be wrong please correct me on this) Is skill based match making I believe this was already taken away in Forsaken but I never notice a change there when playing with my friends it felt fair for all I know however this made team balance a bit off. Instead they used something called the Peer to Peer connections which in short it host a server that is closer to you, and the players you are with. In short I live somewhere in Arizona with most players I go against being from Canada, Mexico, Texas, Washington, and China (The last one is mostly 50/50). This in turn made connection base really bad for players since connections were just everywhere as players were teleporting, getting DC, having bad hit detection, bullet hitting but bouncing off the player with no damage, hit detection to where you fire your bullet. (The reason was fine but as of today I really think having a somewhat skill base match making or some sort of match making is needed) With this change including nerfs/buffs into certain weapon class or weapon types you were felt force or almost had to use a loadout as called Meta. The meta classes were so good that even most pro players had to adapter to certain build changes, and make their own this also killed the creative thought of using your own setup because then you were getting killed either faster or you couldn't kill them because of a build that allowed them to survive longer, faster, and better than you could. These build are not all bad I do like certain builds that you can use to get an advantage in certain game modes or types PvP, PvE, Gambit, and Raids have there time, and place for these builds. Yet having build in PvP which can kill the fun or joy you had before starting the match makes it barrable to even play anymore since then you have certain class builds that will just destroy you unless you have a certain build to counter it which forces you into the meta build game. This issue into weapons also happen into the armor too as long you had the right build you were nearly unstoppable (Get it?) or just had a overpower build that the only way to stopping you was to outsmart or outgun the player. Lastly the issues we have now (Even during Witch Queen) Is having Cross play enable this is, and still a wonderful idea to have since then its gives many players to play with each other without having to be in the same platform this in turn makes playing with others more fun. However this causes more issues now since certain company's are making more adapter that might as well be cheats in general with a prime example for it is Cronus Zen. The adapter isn't banned nor can be charged with certain laws since its has the commendation to sell these in markets as long people buy them however these Adapter do go against one major law in more games which is the ToS 3rd party software. Both PC players, and Console player are using these by the dozen with even more setting that allow people to basically cheat in all game modes, and making their own codes to cheat with it also having a hidden IP for whatever you are using this never gets found out unless you report it. Which brings into that problem due to these being around of the report system, and having an Anti Cheat. As we know Bungie is using Battle.Eye's Anti Cheat system which works 50/50 of the time as we know now however Bungie only uses the Battle Eye in one game mode that is Trials which lower the cost of cheaters getting flawless wins however this allowed them to still cheat in every game mode which for players get annoying. This in turn made it very hard to tell who is good, and who is cheating compare to both cheaters, actual good players, and Zen users since most are very hard to tell apart its something that Bungie still has a hard time taken care of with the possibly of never will. Destiny 2 (Steam) Beyond the Light: This DLC that we've gotten gave up more content, a new Super/Abilities, and more issues that couldn't be fix properly we will start where it hit so many forms, and that is the new Super/Abilities. Bungie gave up the power of Stasis (The Darkness) as a new form of Class that we have no understand of in which was good to study in time due to being able to use it at certain times in the DLC Campaign. However this had so much drawback, and still does that some players are slowly trying to banned it all together which is its Freezing Perk allowing it to freeze a player, super, and almost anything with a defense debuff to whatever you freeze. This also caused many players to use it in PvP since its so useful just to freeze someone to get a kill then let that freeze possibly freeze another player this cause so many people to either love/hate Stasis that even now many people are trying to find ways to avoid/use it at all cost. This also killed PvP way more than usual as most players stop playing PvP when Stasis dropped, and when it got its nerf many people still didn't come back to PvP knowing that no matter what the Freezing Perk just made it unplayable or unable to counter unless you knew what they were doing. This Subclass also allowed you to change certain thing about your character that made it even more unplayable to even play against because you never knew what someone was doing until you were frozen to death. Destiny 2 (Witch Queen) The Fixes we need: As of now the fixes are simple to say I will just place them here. (A Type of Match Making, Gun Balance, Team Balance, Freedom of Guns/Builds, No more Sandboxing Test) The last one is what I think Bungie needs to do with players as having a certain beta test build inside the game itself with a few players (possibly just need 50 of them) to help them understand what needs balancing, and what needs to be looked at. I want Bungie to do this right by at least giving it a look on what players are talking about for guns, armor, season mods, or the game in general.
