No apology, no empathy, no sense that we're valued as players, just "unforeseen issue, wait till reset and download all 76 GB." Thanks for the perfunctory tweet I guess.
Even the community managers don't seem to care that much, just a retweet of the aforementioned tweet while going on to hype everyone else.
It sucks.
I'm sure there's a business reason for Bungie not wanting to seem to admit to any fault by apologising or showing the tiniest amount of empathy but damn.
I'm just glad I didn't preorder or think I would get in on launch day. Congrats to those that can.
Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest.

This far down the line are you really surprised!?!?

Hey, be grateful you might even be able to play at launch right after the download. It looks like a substantial portion of the Steam/PC userbase is going to be unable to play for several weeks again, like already happened with Season of the Lost where they were unable to play for... I think it was 3-4 weeks? I mean, seriously, not only can it be worse, it IS worse for other people right now.

The PS4 content packs were likely tagged with the same release date as The Witch Queen license, since they contain TWQ content. The issue wasn't discovered until after NA business hours and adjusting the content pack release date probably would not have been processed by Sony until after 9am PT anyway.

PS4s are notorious for their downloading of updates.

Stuff like this happens. They got several platforms to take care of. Just cross save to a different platform
