Destiny Name... Problem?
There is not much to it, I think when I originally logged in way back in 2016 when my account was created, it automatically set my name to Guardian 1262, and when I was looking at the page about changing the name it says it cannot be changed as it is 'set when it is created' although I'm confident I never chose Guardian1262. At the same time it says if it was profane it mightve been blocked but Im also confident I didnt set it as anything bad so Im literally just wondering if i can manage to change it now, 6 years later lol. if not no biggie its just stupid that I gotta get bullied by my friends on other platforms that all have good names set and mine is guardian 1262 lmao

After the Bungie Name changes went live mid-2020, your in-game name becomes set as the platform name that you first log in with, I assume that's your Steam account. The new Bungie Name system doesn't support most special characters and also applies a name filter, looking at your profile I assume it's the former issue, as there are some characters in your Steam name that are not appearing properly. That is why you've been given a default name. There is not an option to change your name at this time but a name change option will be added relatively soon, 'at or around Witch Queen's launch is the current estimate.
