When we grew in numbers we found that a lot of veterans didn't have the patience to teach others. We focused on recruiting players new to the game (or who didn't have friends to play with) with a point of view to explain mechanics; not just provide carries. This continued into Destiny 2 where we've tried to keep the tradition going.
