Inspecting gear is mega slow since 30th Anniversary update
ever since the update, inspecting weapons or piece of gear just seems to take forever to load.
Im on PS4 with SSD so it was pretty instant before. now it takes a good 3-5 seconds for perks/slots to load
ive also noticed you cant infuse in the vault anymore? You used to be able to infuse an item in the vault with something in your inventory, but cant any more
hopefully this will be fixed with launch of WQ ?

Bumping this cos its STILL stupidly slow. I cant swap mods or inspect a weapon without getting killed in patrol because im waiting so long for the screen to load

On a Pro here and I stopped Hot Swapping because of this Loadouts would be nice to bind to each character

15 RepliesD2 was never meant to be this big content wise. Reminder: this game is still running on an engine from 2016-2017. Bungie’s spaghetti code ties everything up and holds everything back. The only way I see this being permanently fixed is either a D3 built with Series X/PS5 in mind or a complete system overhaul with dedicated servers.

Yeah, it's definitely slower, even on pc. Vault is definitely garbage now that you cant do anything in it. Also some times (while not in vault) I can't masterwork my weapons, if it's on lvl 6 for example when I try to upgrade it to lvl 7 the box will turn white and do nothing.

I believe they know about it. It is super annoying though. I have to click inspect on the same weapon like 4 times just to get half the perks to show up if they are in my vault.

I started having this issue before the 30th anniversary actually. I remember noticing it first right after battle eye got added, and I recall bungie saying that it's addition may have some effects. Really hoping it can be fixed as it's super annoying, and makes going through your vault take WAY longer.

it's been bad since the launch, but now it's slightly better.... but I have like "select weapon" and see it not selected because it's not connecting to the server. It's like Destiny is held together by duct tape.

5 RepliesI will say, it’s just worth [i]trying to[/i] get a PS5 or PC, really anything that can run better than PS4 for THIS game. I haven’t really noticed anything to bad (i’m on PS5) maybe sometimes if I try to go into my inventory while loading into crucible. But hopefully they fix it because it seems annoying.

You used to be able to infuse an item in the vault with something in your inventory, but cant any more hopefully this will be fixed with launch of WQ ?[/quote] The weapon crafting artifacts are probably already loaded into the UI - which is probably causing it to be slow - I would assume they would optimize it more once it goes live into production… Also once they take those weapons announced out of rotation it will probably improve - Bungie’s Tiger engine is robust but it needs updating - they are rolling it out in phases and it’s nothing short of painful…

What about changing your armor affinity to level 1 arc? It's literally impossible to do, the option isn't even there. So if you want to change the affinity to arc, it has to be level 2 unlike the other 3. They need to fix that

Yeah they made it so much better when Beyond Light dropped. It’s so bad now. Idk if they’re ever going to fix it. It’s never been this slow.
