They aren’t making an issue to change it later. They are trying to sell something as an “ improvement “ that’s actually a nerf. They will all the way up to the point where it’s implemented and then when it’s undeniably bad they will say “ it’s not a change that was intended to do x or y or have that affect on players blah blah“. They have done it before and it’s always “ we are giving you more options “. They never are.

Edited by Xero: 1/14/2022 5:52:07 PMI think "controlled options" is descriptive enough in this case, no? I mean, we have a tendency to keep whatever loadout works for us in whatever mode "on", for as long as we can milk it for. Something Bungie knows all too well. But this is always viewed as hit or miss, depending on Bungie's vision of the game, in that particular moment. Idk. Just my two cents. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh you’re definitely right. They just never come out and say it. They try to be cute and pretend like it’s because it’s actually better and they are doing us a favor etc. When really they need to come out and just state their design decision just like they did with the last super and ability cooldown changes. They won’t do that with this though because this is DLC content. So “ everything is an improvement and beacon of light in the distance “.
