Exactly. It's like the George Lucas problem You can say he "ruined star wars" all you want, but in the end he's also the guy who made it, and he's the guy who made the stuff we love about it. Give it to disney and you're more likely to lose the stuff you love than to get rid of the stuff you hate.

I agree but it also depends... George Lucas gave full control to Disney cause he trusted that Kathleen would stay true to his universe. Sell your creation, but still keep the final say in most of everything and there's no problem. Many deals can be made and broken down to very specific points, George clearly didn't do that... sadly.

Ol George should've let Kennedy give him her ideas for the next three movies and her plan of including Rey as Mary Sue. George would've said take a hike.
