These mods only further amplify an issue introduced with holders tbh. Nobody uses them because there is no room on armor to support the sheer energy cost and their inferiority over scav mods.
It’s going to be the same here, nobody wants to remove finders since they are just too superior. If the mod worked for all guns then maybe but they will only work for specific elements which is even worse since MAX 2 guns will make orbs.
Although the artefact change is good, it’s another 1 step forward and 2 steps back with the orb nerf…

Only way I can see it working is adding a slot in MW armor with no cost (like individual weapons now) There’s way too much that is helmet dependent as it is. It only makes sense since the inception of transmog and the upcoming ability to change affinities to reduce vault bloat. They can’t keep increasing armor stats and transmog exists to motivate new armor acquisition. They just changed mod cost as it is. There is another slot on “adept” armor but no power increase to accommodate. Now they want to add another? It’s not like it’s going to be a “meaningful choice”. They’ve tuned abilities generation and mods to MW orbs as an absolute requirement. If anything, a reg mod makes it a major nerf. I dunno bout all this
