As we have all noticed hunters seem to get primarily neutral based exotics that can be used with a variety of subclasses. These are great and usually the best of the exotics, but they’re boring. Hunters have a lack of super specific exotics, specifically for Golden Gun. Gunslinger as a subclass has had a lack of “true” love for quite a while now but a new exotic for Golden Gun would be a great addition to the game and could make it a lot more useful. I propose returning the greatest D1 exotic, Achlyophage Symbiote. Probably the best looking helmet in the game with one of the best exotic perks, it’s about time Achlyophage made its return. With Golden Gun having two unique functions now it would have to work a little differently, but I have an idea. My idea is: Way of the Sharpshooter- grants an extra golden gun bullet (can get higher precision damage and create more orbs) Way of the Outlaw- grants extra super duration refund upon killing an enemy, and can create more orbs(increases duration of the super refunded when you get a kill) OR refunds golden gun super energy after it ends based on number of hits and kills, up to 50% The way of the Outlaw idea is less ideal than the Sharpshooter one, but it could still be good and could still have a use. Achlyophage could allow hunters to increase their boss damage to compete with warlocks and titans while creating more orbs for their teammates in Sharpshooter and could allow way of the outlaw to actually be good in pve by allowing you to fire off more shots, kill more ads, and create more orbs.
