Straight to the point:
Autos need more damage to everything in pve. Smgs are far superior in every aspect especially considering their dominance on mnk at range and their overall damage. 600 autos are ok I guess but could be better imo, the rest are not worth using over a hc, smg or scout.
All pulse rifles just do far less than scouts and hand cannons who are their competitors at similar ranges. The damage to anything in endgame is laughable. All archetypes need to be buffed considering I don’t think they’ve had help in a LONG time.
Specific exotics:
Outbreak: rapid hit replacing outlaw will very much help the weapon especially in the area where right now it REQUIRES multiple people to use it for any viability. A bump in damage to rank and file ads would assist too.
Graviton lance: nobody has ever used this in endgame. It needs a damage bump and potential catalyst addition since it’s current catalyst is outdated and doesn’t help it in pve.
Vigilance wing: it’s a pvp pulse I guess but it’s catalyst will become outdated by witch queen. Some pve perk on its catalyst would be great imo.
Cerberus: just an idea but it’s base fire could be anti barrier and it’s alt fire could be unstoppable. This will definitely skyrocket it’s usage and viability in pve endgame.
Sweet business: it’s catalyst is outdated, it needs a rework. I definitely feel like killing tally on this weapon could VASTLY improve its pve viability.
Hard light: shield disorient or anti barrier could do this weapon nicely.
Any other exotic buffs, just mention in the comments. But if you didn’t see the trend, I think all exotic primaries should have some form of champion mod intrinsic to the gun.

Sounds to me like you can’t hit your shots if you’re crying about outlaw.

Edited by eternal_napalm: 1/8/2022 1:02:23 PMI have Scathelock with Subsistence & Rampage. Highly recommended. Cerberus +1 puts out INSANE close-range damage. Great for helping to hold down a plate...or close encounters like Last Wish vault. Monte Carlo is superb and viable in all raids and dungeons. No Time To Explain is stellar. BXR-55 Battler is INSANE. The Third Axiom is one of the best Pulse Rifles in Destiny with the right rolls. Feeding Frenzy & Rampage is what I have on mine.

Edited by Double07: 1/6/2022 4:32:58 PMRemove champions . They force players into non-viable loudouts regardless of preference or circumstance .
-
Vigilance wing is decent in end game content.
-
all primaries have this problem except for scouts and even then scouts are only viable when you have more distance between you and the enemies
-
I was just thinking; SMGs are meant for reletively close range combat. Autos are meant to hit at farther ranges. Solution: give autos negative falloff (like cerberus) in PVE. If I think of anything for pulses, I'll make an edit here.

SUROS Regime? This was my first ever exotic AR, and loved the crap out of that thing. Definitely could use anti barrier!

Edited by Jamestown01010: 1/7/2022 6:57:09 AMBXR-56 Battler is a good pulse. Reminds a little of Blast Furnace. I’ve been liking Age Old Bond and Tigerspite autos lately. That’s saying a lot to be using those instead of Gnawing Hu-blam!-. Not sure why that’s being blammed.

A couple of candidates that comes to mind are Malfeasance, Tractor Cannon and Queenbreaker. Tractor Cannon might be a bit too much since it's already powerful enough as a debuff tool though.

Edited by max: 1/7/2022 3:05:38 PMEither remove champ or let us choose our own mods for anti champ every season did I also say 6 energy for an anti champion mod is too much? 6 energy for an anti champion mod is too much

You were on of the folks who didn't bother getting ghally when xur first sold it back in d1 since its a heavy, you bought suros instead..

And I want to date Scarlett Johannsen. Oh wait, I thought we were talking about things that should, and never would happen. You act like your opinion is absolute. I've used Outbreak and Graviton in raids just for the fun of it - NEVER had an issue. Sweet Business is a tool that even the most mindless player can use half asleep or inebriated out of his/her mind. Gotta stop expecting this game to be easy mode. If people are able to do GM's SOLO with the current weapons, and not begging for Easy mode exotics to be turned into intrinsic champion weapons. Not everyone uses MnK, and SMG's are not all superior to Auto's in "every way" - half the range, smaller mag. Only benefit would be RPM and good for CQC
-
Why does everybody want rapid hit on outbreak? It already has practically 0 recoil. I'd love to see a nanite build up/damage buff and replace outlaw with rewind rounds or something besides rapid hit.
-
You know, is bad enough to play gm nightfalls at 40 lvls above your gear cap just to make it feel sweat enough, sry "feel challenging", and above that to have a pea shooter pulse rifle firing forever to finish off an unstoppable yellow bar just because youre out of any Izanagi or 1k voices ammo 🤦♂️

Vigilant Wing could have its catalyst replaced with a mod slot that also accepts adept mods. At the moment its full auto which is now a mod for pulses. This would open it up to damage mods like minor, major, boss spec. Graviton is good in GMs when anti barrier pulse rolls around, but the explosion could use a buff. Hardlight needs intrinsic anti barrier just like borials. Cerberus+1 needs its accuracy and bloom tighten up by atleast 25%. It's catalyst needs a complete rework. Personally I think it should tighten the spread by 90% and increas crit damage by 20%. This would cause the catalyst to turn cerberus+1 into a primary slug shotgun with 2 hit kill potential in crucible. Sweet business needs the screen shake reduced or buff zoom. Autos are okay in gms, maybe buffs damage vs minors by 15%, same for pulses.

seee, though, every weapon doesn't have to be great. Things come and go, that's the nature of.... everything.
-
All weapons underperform because making enemies bullet-spongy is how Bungie reaches for difficulty outside of dungeons and raids. But agreed, AR, most SRs. and some PRs are particularly bad.
-
Autos should be bad in endgame content. Outbreak does need rapid hit.

They don't get used for one simple reason........most exotics that do get used are the higher tier ones like Sleeper currently or telesto. I'd rather not slot an exotic primary knowing that my exotic heavy / special will 10 fold be better.

You had me at "Killing Tally" on Sweet Business. MAKE IT SO. -
When you say straight to the point you actually meant a wall of barely cohesive, loosely strung together poorly thought out ramblings huh?
-
As much as I love ARs, they’ve always been the early to mid game weapon. No AR has ever really competed in endgame combat, nor should they really. End game is about precision and strategy, not bullet spraying brute force. At least that’s what I tell myself to dampen the disappointment of weak ARs. As for pulses… Bungie can’t control the swing of the buff/nerf pendulum so just wait a while, I’m sure they’ll come back up again.

Edited by Kiro - 13: 1/6/2022 11:10:41 PMThe only AR I find barely tenable is "Sorrows Verse" when frenzy is active. The issue with that is it just barely clears the line of not being total garbage with the 15% damage boost from frenzy. Buff all auto's by 15% in pve would be my answer. Examples of pulses under-performing are "Messenger" and "BXR-55" need an entire clip of all head shots to down one cabal in the GM proving grounds. One entire clip...... Not sure sure what the damage value would need to be but in the very least it should only take 2/3rd's of a clip of all crits. 5% buff to HC in pve would be welcome as well.
-
Would love to see outbreak get rapid hit, a perfect perk for the gun.
-
Killing tally would be more than just a PVE buff for sweet biz. Considering the magazine size for sweet business, combined with how well it synergizes with actium war rig, it would probably become absolutely Bonkers in PvP. Even if you are a warlock using it with Luna factions, you will be able to lay down so much hurt in the Crucible, your inbox will be filled with hate mail before you can say "I love my job."
