Ok so the pop up on the screen says forsaken is free until 2/22/22 and so does the bungie site. HOWEVER when my daughter who hasn't purchased forsaken tries to join me to do forsaken activities SINCE ITS FREE, it says you dont own this content please purchase. Follow the link and its required money. HOW IS THIS FREE? I'm even more disappointed in bungie now than I was when I heard they were deleting/vaulting even more of my favorite content.

You clearly don’t understand destiny. It’s a free to play game after you pay your $80 a year to play. Another fun part is after buying a dlc you have a 1/4 chance that dlc will actuall be in the game. At this moment on the Xbox store bungie sells dlc that you can’t actually play. Every so often posts pop up from people who purchased a bunch of dlc and don’t understand why most or the one the bought is unplayable. I have never understood how bungie doesn’t/ didn’t get sued for this. I assume it must be some fine print or technicality around a games as a service. At this point bungie seems like they have given up even trying to pretend like they wouldn’t throw customers off a cliff for a few extra $. To answer your specific situation when bungie said it’s free they meant you need to pay for it then wait three years for it to be rereleased then pay for it again then your daughter should have no problem playing. Glad I could help.

If you using a ps4, make your account primary on her ps4, and make her account primary on your ps4. Then do restore licenses, and you should be good. That's what I do for my son and wife. And if you own a ps5 it's pretty much similar setup to get it working. Hope that helps

They meant the campaign.

Does she have it downloaded at least? That's sort of a requirement to play, whether it's free or not

Can you link to where the site or whatever says it’s free?
