Snipers [i]do[/i] have a higher skill floor, but at top level play, they just become oppressive to the point that they're miserable to play against. Is it impressive that people can aim that well? Sure, I guess, but I would much rather be able to actually play the video game than be forced to play at a snail's pace because a single mistake means your head's getting taken off. [i]If they're that good then just use them yourself[/i] I do use snipers from time to time, I use pretty much every weapon type in at least small doses, and I gotta say snipers feel the least fun. It doesn't matter how well my opponent is playing, a lot of the time even if I'm being flinched, if I just press shoot at the right time I win. If someone makes the careless mistake of peaking a lane in an fps, the sniper wins. They just feel pretty cheap.
