Trials == Skill, not Shotguns
Hey,
I know, the FPS fiends love their shotguns but in Trials it's too easy to get kills. Sniping, which doesn't guarantee kills, takes more skill. We're playing Guardians, right? Don't you think the shields would do better against them?

Uh, some -blam!- dev at Bungie decided that shotguns were cool and distance wasn’t relevant so as long as the currents maps/distance covering/shoot-melee thing exist so will shotguns.
