YT: Sweatcicle demonstrates exactly how much better Always on time is compared to other sparrows for those who don’t believe me or don’t want changes.
For years I’ve never had an opportunity to use another sparrow since the Always on Time sparrow DOMINATES when it comes to perks, speed and other bonuses. It’s faster, has SIX boosts and has a short cool-down to boot.
As someone who love to sparrow fly this sparrow is basically required, not to mention why should I use other sparrows that are MUCH slower? It’s kind of ridiculous.
Obviously a solution to this issue would be increasing all sparrows to match AoT’s current speed while implementing a similar system as the ghost 2.0 so we can slot specific perks to suit our needs like side boosts, stealth, reload or maybe new perks too.

who cares about sweatcicle
Obviously a solution to this issue would be increasing all sparrows to match AoT’s current speed
lol no.
-
It will be used as a selling point in a future season
-
It should be like D1 when you could put parts together to make one. Obviously expand upon that but Amanda is a near worthless NPC as it is. I'd like to control, for instance, the color of the boost trail on any given sparrow.
-
I wouldn’t say the solution is to bump up all other sparrows but we do need mods and sparrows reworked in an easy minor way. Giving them like two slots for some low tier chill unique mods and giving raid or dungeon(if this ever becomes a thing) connected sparrows specialized intrinsic mods. Heck even sparrows that are considered generally endgame could have em but regardless it would be nice to have sparrows updates.

Edited by Jocke13651: 12/21/2021 9:41:58 PMEsoterickk did it with a green sparrow so…

Bungie isn't going to buff a hundred sparrows , it will be much easier for them just to nerf Always on Time
-
Its a raid sparrow, it's should be better. It's also the only raid sparrow. Harbinger has the same speed as aot
-
Make all sparrows the same speed. Some legendaries look better than exotics!
-
Funny, I was just thinking about this exact issue. I’d love for sparrows to get the same treatment that ghosts did.
-
From vanilla D1 we should have been encouraged to build our own sparrows with customizable engines exhaust etc all making the sparrow a unique user generated experience, they -blam!- it up and doubled down in d2. It's too late to fix it now.
-
Didn’t watch the vid or really read your post, but yea no other sparrow besides AoT even matters.
-
I have been saying this for a long time. Bungie themselves have made ALL Sparrows other than AoT irrelevant, and it really is a shame considering the work that goes into making them and the neat variety we have available to us. The Devs really should change this and allow ALL Sparrows to be viable. 1000%
-
Don't really need anyone to demonstrate. You can feel the speed difference just by switching to another sparrow. We will probably get something at some point though. It would be cool if we get some sort of sparrow garage/modding spot.
-
for those who don’t believe me or don’t want changes.
Literally no one in the entire community thinks this sparrow isn’t better than the rest. Why do you all love starting your posts saying “I’ve been the underdog for years and it’s nice to finally see I’m right”. Don’t make up situations just to inflate your ego.
-
Here we go... Another Nerf coming that's going to ultimately contribute to the death of destiny👍 thanks man... As if nerfs haven't killed an entire class, now you'd like sparrows to be nerfed too? What's next? Nerfing ships?
-
Oh a raid exclusive sparrow that was a low drop % from a random chance from the secret sparrow section is better than the rest....crazy
-
Harbingers echo is as fast as always on time
-
Sparrows, ghost shells skins and ships are like sprinkles on a cake, pointless decoration that add nothing of value to the game.
-
Always on Time needs competition, its been THE sparrow for long enough.

Sparrow flying is a bug, not a feature and the more attention people give it, the more likely it'll be a fixed, like the original sword skating. 2. Always On Time is too fast for non linear routes with lots of turns. Rainbow road in Prophecy dungeon is VASTLY easier with a regular sparrow 3. Sparrows, like ships, don't matter like gear matters. They shouldn't have some massive perk pool. You really want to grind activities for a god roll sparrow? No, nobody wants that. 4. Which is why nobody should listen to streamers. They have the time to grind the same activity 1000 times for a god roll sparrow. We don't. Sparrows are, by and large, cosmetic items. Always on Time is faster, sure, but not by so much that it makes a significant difference. Grasp of Avarice isn't any harder with a regular 160 vs always on Time. The "enemies pay less attention to you" perk never worked, you just put drove the bullets. In short, this is a non issue and streamers are just looking for something to whine about because the 30th anniversary pack was so anemic that they've run out of ideas. Be strong. Grinding for god roll sparrows will NOT make this game better.

People here trying so hard that they need to optimize their sparrows?
-
Sparrows will get a rework(lmao at the kids who think they won't). AoT is why I don't buy sparrows from Bungie as well(it's factually costing them money).

Edited by AppleSoda: 12/20/2021 7:26:33 PMMy take is that raid sparrows (and sparrows from other comparable endgame sources) should just all be as good as Always on Time or have something similarly unique to keep them desirable. Keeping them slightly better than Eververse sparrows feels right, although giving other legendary/exotic sparrows access to the increased base speed or the damage avoidance might be appropriate. But on top of this, just let us transmog or something similar with sparrows. It really is annoying seeing tons of beautiful sparrows that the team clearly put a lot of thought into and having to say “oh well, I’ll never use that, I’ll just use my bland Scourge sparrow.” Basically, make getting endgame sparrows desirable, but let us have the looks we want on them.
-
Edited by Bore: 12/20/2021 5:25:59 PMThere’s been leaks of sparrow 2.0 coming next season. It would make a lot of sense. I know a lot of people that never consider buying any eververse sparrow because they’re just worse than the Always on Time. If bungie wants people buying their sparrows, 2.0 is the way to go.
-
I dont like always on time. I think its a terrible sparrow design-wise. However, i pretty much just use it, because its that much better than any other sparrow in the game. Would love to have sparrows 2.0. Would be a great way of bringing sparrow perks back as mods. You could make amanda sell them.
