It is just another play their way move. Nothing new in that. They have now custom tuned the sweat levels of crucible to their desired settings.

Enjoy your crucible very soon you will be there with nothing but your peers and you will have achieved the SBMM you all got killed off long ago.

It’s a sad reality that you all dislike competitive balance in PvP so much that you’ll just straight up quit playing when you aren’t able to abuse things that previously gifted you success. I’ve never seen anything like it in other games.

Or for a PVE meta weapon. If these weren't a thing, we wouldn't be playing to begin with.

If I want to play a competitive game, then I would play games like Overwatch or Counter Strike. But not Destiny, a game made for fun, not Skill Prestige Showoffs.
-
Weird ....because peoples like you say otherwise
-
"Competitive" is a game describing term that can be for each person different. Players like me see Halo (Championship), Counter Strike, Overwatch and games like Valorant as "competitive" because those are E-Sports titles. Then there are people that see Destiny as "competitive" while it has no ranklist gamemode (survival is just a half-assed excuse) and has since the D1 Beta as Franchise Balance Problems each update.
-
Than why you care so much about super in pvp?
-
Because I don't see Destiny 2 as a "competitive game" but as a "game for fun".
-
....that make no sense but ok😂
-
It does. Supers are a feature that are meant to give you a fun time by being a semi-god on the field in combat for a short time. By reducing the amount of supers in PvP Bungie is reducing fun elements in pvp. At least for players like me and the others agreeing with me in this post.
-
Well yea PvP wannabe going to agree with you since more super mean easier kills and they don't get kill by them since you all camp in the back
-
The changes also affect PvE. If People can't get a super full within 1 Gambit match, then there is something completely off with the system.
-
....seem its a problem with you and not the system ...I get my super in gambit ....honestly its no different in gambit than it used to be and in regular pve I get it faster than before
-
Ok, tell me what class you are playing and what subclass. Let us test your claim.
-
All 3 Warlock mostly bottom tree or well for boss fight Titan bottom tree sun breaker Hunter stasis melee super build
-
Ok, ever considered that those supers maybe are not affected by that Bug or whatever that is causing Bungie to say "Supers of Tier 1 and 2 do not recharge fully on Rally Flags"? Perhaps it is also just a problem with the Intellect stat, since they changed the function dramatically.
-
I believe bottom tree don't get max super on a flag....but do you really need to pop your super immediately after a flag? Like kill 2 thing and you are good.... If I were to think on why its a thing I would say its to make checkpoint farming the templar a bit harder
-
I believe bottom tree don't get max super on a flag....but do you really need to pop your super immediately after a flag? Like kill 2 thing and you are good....
It is not a gamebreaking problem, but shows the flaws of the changes with the super tiers. They didn't change the values of the flag of how much energy it grants to reload the super. The fact some subclasses get not a full super are a symptom of how those subclasses are fundamentally less useful in PvP because you get them much slower.
-
I did say why I think it was the case ..... Could be a bug, could be intentional we dont know
-
If I want to play a competitive game, then I would play games like Overwatch or Counter Strike. But not Destiny, a game made for fun, not Skill Prestige Showoffs.
This statement is veritably and categorically false. Bungie has ALWAYS stated that Crucible is supposed to be competitive, balanced, and reward gunplay over abilities. Back in 2014, and now. Not a single time have they said it’s a “party game” like Fall Guys. This is a fallacy created by people in the community such as yourself who want Crucible to be something it isn’t, despite the devs themselves routinely reiterating what it’s supposed to be.
-
We know since D1 that Bungie is not capable of maintaining a competitive and balanced experience in PvP without massively cutting the creativity and individualization in gun/ability usage of players. The super tier changes and everything that is tied to it, are just a tool to take control over how metas build and what the most effective way to play is. Just wait til they start shifting stuff around, ruining your build every season as they do gameplay with the artifact mod selections.
We know since D1 that Bungie is not capable of maintaining a competitive and balanced experience in PvP without massively cutting the creativity and individualization in gun/ability usage of players.
Whether you think they’re capable of it or not is irrelevant. A competitive and balanced PvP experience IS the developer’s stated vision of the Crucible. Saying otherwise, as you did, is an abject lie. You know that no sane person would actually want an intentionally unbalanced PvP experience, so you’re trying to gaslight players into thinking that’s what Destiny is supposed to be… Because that’s the only way you can get people to agree with you.
The super tier changes and everything that is tied to it, are just a tool to take control over how metas build and what the most effective way to play is.
Well yes, because that’s LITERALLY what sandbox balance is. 🤦🏼♂️ Tuning the effectiveness of things in the sandbox to produce a desired change in gameplay.
-
Well yes, because that’s LITERALLY what sandbox balance is. 🤦🏼♂️ Tuning the effectiveness of things in the sandbox to produce a desired change in gameplay.
Tell me, do you like dismantling your older armor from this year for new farmed gear to get the right stats you need for the builds? Do you like sunsetting your own gear for the mats so you can create a new armor set every 1-2 seasons when Bungie shifts the super tiers around, which impact now every charge time in the game? Do you really want that? Redoing your gear and playstyle every season?
-
Edited by RussellMania: 12/18/2021 5:37:29 PMI don’t have to, because I keep all kinds of high-stat armor in my vault in preparation for potential meta shifts. In fact, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t do this. Idk why you would delete armor either, that makes no sense.
