Now I know most will find this stupid, but I think it's prolly not a bad idea. Look I know Destiny 2 already has plenty of cooperative pve activities, like strikes, nightfalls, exploring destinations and Raids, this I know. But in crucible/ Gambit, your going to have to face other players, and 90%- 95% of the the time, those players will beat you a lot. Why can't we have a training arena or even a shooting range at least to practice aim and pvp movement before doing the real deal?! Other games like the new battlefield and Halo infinite will have stuff like this, so why can't Destiny 2?

They'll feel stupid for trying and be stuck with a low k/d for all the world to see. Plenty of those players don't know anyone to practice with, wouldn't get the same experience they'd get playing against randoms in crucible anyway, and don't want to be competitive with their friends. Another option that might help players with crucible hesitancy is giving the ability to hide or reset their pvp stats.
