While there are a lot of more urgent things that Bungie should elect to focus on besides them, the following changes would certainly be quite nice to have, and would very, very slightly tighten up the game somewhat if implemented.
The first incredibly miniscule change to be suggested relates to reissued and pseudo-reissued weapons and gear. With the advent of sunsetting, weapons and gear needed to be reissued under "newer" content tags (those little icons on the top-left corner of gear) in order for their "expiration dates" to be clearly indicated. However, following sunsetting's partial obsolescence (the game still removes weapons from the World Engram pool if they are three Seasons "old" (such as the Stars in Shadow or the Main Ingredient, which are both unavailable outside of direct vendor purchases in Season 15) and has a bias towards "newer" weapons), the practice of "retagging" gear has continued.
However, this practice is inconsistent. Non-Vaulted Raid weapons (Last Wish and Garden of Salvation) initially dropped with the Season of Arrivals content tag, but now drop with their original content tags post-sunsetting (Forsaken and Shadowkeep, respectively), while non-Vaulted Raid armors still use the Season of the Hunt content tag (presumably because that is the "oldest" version of the armor with dedicated Raid Mod slots, which were added in that Season). Reissued Dreaming City and Moon weapons and armor also use a combination of Season of the Chosen and Splicer content tags based on when they were reissued, despite coming from non-Seasonal sources. Gear that was simply "updated" to Season of Arrivals levels and given the appropriate content tags without being true reissues have not been returned to their prior state post-sunsetting, despite having the same inclusivity (i.e., lack of changes to perks, lore, etc.) as the aforementioned Raid weapons.
Aside from being a tad confusing for newer players (who might use content tags as identifiers for where certain gear can be found) and inconsistent in its application overall, this practice of retagging weapons specifically has also created a lot of unnecessary duplicate slots in players' Collections tabs. Because retagged weapons count as "new" weapons in the Collections, weapons that have been retagged multiple times have upwards of three entries for a single weapon, which, when distributed across the plethora of reissued weapons that currently exists, creates a lot of clutter.
As such, I suggest that the reissuing process for gear be streamlined: rather than creating a new entry, reissued gear replaces its older entries while maintaining its "original" content tag, thus saving space and removing redundant Collections entries. At the very least, reissued gear from specific, non-Seasonal sources (such as from older Raids, the Dreaming City, or the Moon) should have their initial content tags reinstated, so as to clearly delineate their source. Them having content tags from entirely different pieces of content from years apart only makes sense in a system that is no longer present in the game.
