At some point in D1 history, it was fairly strong in the meta. But it was pretty much always over-shadowed by other options. Crimson is effectively the same weapon, but it's never sat right with me how they brought back many of the D1 exotics in their carbon copy, or near enough, from the first game, besides red death.
