Hey, so my nephew had a PlayStation character from last year that he has not touched since. His light was around 1100. He starts a new game on Steam, not knowing about cross-save, and I had him go set up his cross-save then select his PlayStation one to overwrite his Steam one. So now on Steam, he has his PlayStation Bungie character/account. The problem is that there was some massive overlap issue and he had absolutely NO quests. He had to repeat ALL of his tutorial campaigns for the Shadowkeep and Forsaken, along with having to do the new Europa one and do all of these extra things, Ada-1's transmog quests. This seems alright but the biggest concern is that he is not getting event gear or regular rewards with all of the game modes that he's played with me, and he doesn't have a single Weekly challenge activity, not in Strikes, nor Gambit, nor Crucible. He has a quest to interact with the Umbral Decoder in the H.E.L.M. but neither that nor the Prismatic Recaster are letting him progress the mission. We had an issue like this before but reloading the game solved that old problem. Strangely enough, he had to exit character and reload it for a lot of things because of some issue with the quests on Steam/PC or most likely Cross-Save. Anyway, we need his game to become normal and we're considering transferring all his gear over to the vault, creating a new character, then deleting the old one, as this seems to be our only option.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/20/2021 3:23:53 AMHi there. Cross Save cannot overwrite anything. It simply allows players to access the cloud save data of a set of characters from one platform on whichever other accounts you've linked to your profile. Based on your description, it sounds like the character your nephew is using has never been played before or not for long. What's your nephew's Playstation or Steam account name? Or can you give me the link to his Bungie profile?
