After being rolled up and sent home over and over again by the top 1% of players who play hunter I decided to no longer ignore mine and started to play on it. I’m coming from warlock and I don’t dabble in crayon muncher I don’t find it fun and wow, I’m just gonna put it out there as a mid skill gamer who goes flawless every week, usually twice, got my confidence passage done last week for the season, has already hit legend in comp this season blah blah blah. Hunter in really -blam!- hard! I’ve found myself relying so much more on my gun skill, my awareness and knowledge and at first my kd took a really big hit, but after two weeks or so and having racked up atleast 48 hours of crucible gameplay on my head bopping ceiling bouncing boi, I’ve finally got to the point where I can take advantage of all the things hunter has going for it. My conclusion from this experiment is no, hunter is not the best class in the game for pvp, it takes a good build, good guns and a lot of hours sunk into the game to use it to its fullest and it by FAR has the highest skill gap of all the classes. arleast in terms of movement and general game sense. If you’re a beginner or amateur pvp player you might find it really hard to use successfully as it doesn’t have the ability to instantly heal or block off a corridor, if you get tagged to abso it’s on you and your game sense to either fight it out or play your life and mange to get tf out and back to your buddies. I would like to know your opinions down below but I stand by what I say in this post, warlock and titan are FAR easier to play, it takes a gamer with a good amount of skill too make hunter good (minus shatterdive I could game with one hand doing that) but as far as the rest of the class goes it doesn’t have much goin for it out of the gate compared to the other too. It’s the player, not the game that makes you scream in rage cause the skinny boi with the cape is bouncin all over the map mapping you with his sg or hitting a ridiculous snipe off spawn and you have no idea how he got there so fast, or only ever touches the ground to partake in some hand cannon 3 tapping. I get it as a warlock or titan it can be infuriating to play against a full team of tier 1 sweats on their hunters, but before you get your popcorn and head to the comments to bag out those cap wearing twigs, take a few weeks to actually go play on the class and try to get good at it, I can almost guarantee you will take a hit to your ego because you find yourself losing engagements you would’ve come out of just fine on you crayon chewer or rifty boi. Anyways these are just my thoughts, would love to hear from the rest of the community of this conclusion, peace guys n gals!
