I remember when Bungie said that they heard players when we said we wanted our time investment to be respected. With no bad luck protection or eventual trigger for a direct path to the exotic, I feel that the current system, limited weekly RNG, does not do that at all.

Only you can respect your time.

No, hopefully the new weapon crafting will fix most of it. The Raid Exotic drop rate needs to go way up. Maybe an easy mode version of raids with some matchmaking. Seems to be working for Trials.

I loved the divinity quest. I hope that going into the future all raid exotics are tied to a quest.

Did Bungie say they don't have bad luck protection for vex? They have it for eyes of tomorrow, not sure why they'd get rid of it for vex.... I'm sure the drop rate is right where they want it. They will probably increase the drop rate after the raid is a year old, wait until then to grind? Maybe stay away from games with RNG if you are unlucky and are sensitive to not getting what you want?

Yes. Because it a very high % droprate for people who cant play a lot and a very low % droprate for people who do 3 raid per week and play a lot.

Edited by TheArtist: 10/1/2021 5:32:25 PMNo. But then that isn't Bungie's agenda. Their agenda is to use it as bait to keep you engaged and playing the raid for as long as you're willing to endure the frustration. The progression system in the main game (Milestones and Pinnacle) have the same agenda. Break the relationship between player time investment....and rate of progression.

No. But Bungie hasn't respected its playerbase since Destiny 2 released so... Ya'know.

I mean the game at large doesn't, soooooo
I remember when Bungie said that they heard players when we said we wanted our time investment to be respected. Unless you're trying to complete a collection there isnt really a reason to spend them. So rather than waste spoils on that....why not just allow spoils to purchase the raid exotic(s) of raids as well if you don't get said exotic(s) from drops? The benefits I see to this would be enticing more players to want to raid and thus more player engagement. This would simultaneously act as a fix for people who have been forsaken by RNGesus. It'd also stop the influx of vex posts almost instantly.

To be completely honest, i only got vex last week after 50 something looted runs. Its a long time in terms of release to getting the drop, but in terms of time investment, 3 atheon cps took me about 30 mins a week. A half hour per week is nothing lets be honest. So the wait is annoying for sure, but the time investment itself is trivial
