Why isn’t there an Asian at bungie? Or for that manner a Hispanic at bungie? Every where I go these days people say they want to be inclusive but get flipping mad when you ask why they don’t include us and get all defensive like you’re insulting the black culture. I mean if the point of being inclusive to help eliminate bias people is to get a singular group together; it becomes by definition, singling out a group of people… which is biased. It’s an oxymoron.
Also, there was someone on the forums earlier complaining his name was removed because it violated the policy. His name? Blakkperson. So, you’re telling me with your Accessible Bungie announcement that not even a Blakkperson can keep this name and be part of the Black at Bungie group?
Besides me thinking all this is all a screwed up view of race equally, bungie won’t even let a statement of who they are be in the game when they have a whole forum for it; is again… oxymoron.

Edited by Eatz: 10/1/2021 6:59:27 PMForgive me if I’m being ignorant, but I was under the impression that putting a spotlight on race is what causes diversity? I thought just treating everyone the same was the key to equality?

Imagine if we hired people based on their qualifications and not on the color of their skin...
-
Diversity is just another word for segregation. Its Ironic.

Edited by SYKEVANDAL: 9/30/2021 8:12:09 PMStop making race relevant. Then we can eventually get to equality. Why isn’t this thread locked by now?

Listen, I’m here to shoot things and get loot, I couldn’t care less about anyones race. Just shoot -blam!- and play games.

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 9/30/2021 7:39:24 PMWhat do you mean no Asians at Bungie? Ms 5000 Watts SO is Asian and works at Bungie. I don't know if there are any Hispanics working there, but my money would be yes. Bungie is in Bellevue, a very progressive area. What if non black people want to use blakk? Is that ok?
-
Everyone should embrace their heritage, but nobody should be separated because of it. Creating groups just perpetuates division, and Corporate America keeps doing it to make money.
-
Bungie sees equality as segregated clubs. Really -blam!- up way of seeing the world.
-
Yep nothing like not getting the job because you are not apart of the "under represented"...now when in history have we seen this before?

I can't wait for the festival of the lost dinosaur armour!!!

Edited by KayOsS882: 9/30/2021 8:52:19 PMif you have skills that the company is looking for, then you’re qualify to work there. With that said, Even if you’re qualified, that doesn’t mean you should automatically have the job. Hiring someone is not only dependent on their skills but also how they fit within the companies culture, their work history (if you have skills but is a cancer to the team, your skills are worthless), how they work with others, etc… those are as important as skills regardless of the race and gender.

Why are we bringing politics into gaming again? Leave it out.
-
Here we go again.
-
These are video games bro... this post is a joke. Try and find something more important to do than race baiting on video game forums.
-
Dude can somebody lock this nonsense...
-
As a green person, I demand in-game representation for green folks. Bungie have already shown their preference for blue people and have excluded green people as a result. SMH

Please keep political stuff out of the forums smh

Edited by InfernalDegree0: 9/30/2021 7:11:44 PMWhen we make our account, we should need to disclose our race, gender, preferred orientation, and any other defining characteristics about who we are. Then, we should be separated into clans of people from our specific category so we can all appreciate each other. This allows us to play the game solely with those who we can identify with. Of course some clans would get additional rewards to help offset the imbalance between clans, but that it to make sure the game is fair and equal for all players. Edit: Just to help clarify, this isn't meant to divide people, but to bring them together by separating everyone by their characteristics that can and should be appreciated. We did this with Black at Bungie, Women at Bungie, and Trans at Bungie; we could only appreciate them by separating them into their own group first. We know this is what Bungie wants to do behind the scenes, I just wish they would say the quiet part out loud. We like diversity and want to appreciate the differences in people that we can clearly see when everyone is in their own group.

Maybe their Asian employees didn’t want a club. If that’s the case would you want Bungie to force their Asian employees to make an Asian club? You immediately assume disrespect and bias as the reason, when it could be far from the case. Maybe that says more about you than Bungie that you see slights against you and your race despite any evidence. Your question of ‘why not an Asian club’ is valid. But maybe give people a chance to do something good, especially in a case like this where Bungie seems to be trying. Something more than most companies. Don’t marginalize their efforts over a misunderstanding.

Mock before lock!

Maybe it should just be humans at bungie. That way no one is left out.

This is a topic far too complicated for Yall to have. Especially since we'd have to have it before bungie locks this post
