Destiny 2 timeline in destinations but acts as replayable content without the planets possibly
Now that I'm writing this I'm gonna get people telling me that it won't be possible to do but I thought I'd just write this anyway and see if people agree and who knows, maybe the devs might think so too.
So imagine this, with the new Destiny 2 timeline feature they released for the season of the lost helping players who weren't caught up with the story can go through it and see what happened when they last hopped on. It's great as I wasn't around for much of the stuff due to it being challenging and being unable to find a clan until recently.
But what if players instead of reading it could experience it first hand. Actually, play the story beats and even be there for those live events that happened as well or experience parts of them. So the main campaign (Red War) all the season 1 DLCs would be replayable again and could also have the chance to claim some loot that wasn't claimed before by veterans. You can even play the seasonal missions as well (the seasonal campaign stuff after forsaken I mean like undying, worthy, etc.) And even get the loot from those missions as well.
It would bring some replayability to the now lost locations that some people really love and hope come back soon. But I have a feeling that when this darkness saga ends those locations could come back but I feel it would be a good thing for those that missed out on some of the stuff that happened due to lost interest or other developments.
I didn't really know the seasons in destiny 2 was that important in the beginning and now I wanna go back and play those moments again but am unable to. But that's just something I thought would be cool.
