I decided to make a guide about internet safety, as seen in the title.
Rule 1. Lie about things, but not too much. Don’t lie when your telling a story because it’s not needed. Lie about where you live, how old you are, and who you are. Most of you already do this to fit in or not get banned.
Rule 2. Switch tenses around. It annoys people. It’s also fun.
Rule 3. Lie about relations. Lie about your relation to people. If you have a family member, call them a friend, or call a cousin an uncle or your child a nephew. It’s easy.
Rule 4. Don’t be stupid. This rule is a bit tricky nowadays, but it’s still possible through hard work and resisting the urge to click on links.
Rule 5. Don’t click on links, I too sometimes have the urge to click on a shady link shared to me, but resist it with all your common sense, if you lack that then with what little intelligence you have left. If you lack both, like most people in this world, then good luck.
Rule 6. Don’t share embarrassing things. More and more frequently employers will look around to find what you did on public forums.
Rule 7. Always take everything with a bit of skepticism.
Rule 8. Don’t share information, it’s a bad idea. No, UserName000 doesn’t need to know your social security number, and Lucie from the insurance company doesn’t need your credit card info.
Rule 9. If there is a person offering you money just to how you a cat photo, do it. It isn’t a trap.
None of this really matter now though, because Google knows more about you than you do.
Why am I doing this? Simply because I am sleep deprived, and this place has a profound lack of quality posts. This is not a quality post.
Stay safe (or don’t) and resist your natural instincts to be stupid.
I suspect that most of you won’t follow this advice or take it even remotely seriously, which it isn’t.
