I had many awesome weapons that I used to use all of the time back in the day, many of them were from the Last Wish raid (Nation of Beasts, Chattering Bone, the Supremacy etc.).
Sadly when I came back to the game last week, i discovered that many of the weapons were ¨Sunset¨ and turned to Legacy which made 90% of my weapons useless except for in standard PvP which bummed me out.
However I joined a D2 Discord server, then I joined at the end of the Last Wish raid as I hadn't done it or any raid in awhile and wanted to jump in.
When we finished the raid I went to the tower when I discovered something, all of my old Masterworked Last Wish weapons from 2018-19 had now been turned to Beyond Light weapons.
I was happy to see that as I now can again use my Chattering Bone in PvE and the same for Nation of Beasts, however it got me thinking.
Why can't my other old weapons that are still obtainable in the game, be turned to Non-Legacy Weapons?
If I'm not wrong, the sidearm [armory]Anonymous Autumn[/armory] is still obtainable in the game as a Crucible Sidearm.
I have an old Anonymous Autumn that I got back in Season 4, so if Anonymous Autumn is still obtainable in the game then why can't my favorite/personal god roll Anonymous Autumn from Season 4 be turned to Non-Legacy when I retrieve the new Anonymous Autumn?
Of course I can still use my old Anonymous Autumn in regular PvP, but in Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner its completely useless as it drags me down in Power Lvl which sucks.
Hopefully Bungie sooner or later will let your old Legacy weapons be turned to Beyond Light weapons IF you retrieve the new version and infuse it into the old Legacy one.
