Hey Bungie folks, Given Destiny’s ever increasing weapon pool and the fact that we are now done with sunsetting, I feel like it will be a sensible idea allowing us to reacquire weapon rolls that we have obtained in the past and dismantled. My main motivation for this suggestion is that vault size is limited, so you can’t have all the rolls you like and want - I personally prefer different rolls of the same gun depending on the activity I’m doing, not just PvP vs PvE, but also endgame content, like Nightfall on Grand Master difficulty requires significantly different perks compared to a seasonal arena. For example, multikill clip isn’t that viable in GMs, while is pretty great and fun to use on mid-tier content. Similar thing with Subsistence. Secondary motivation is the ever changing balance of things as the game evolves. Some perks are getting nerfed, some buffed, some even replaced. This leads to the situation where today I would dismantle one roll which wasn’t perfect and keep another I like, just to discover a season or two later that my preferred perk is now nerfed and my not-so-preferred one is a king (which I am not saying is a bad thing - it is about the balance and I support that). I am quite sure it is possible to “remember” what rolls have dropped and it won’t be that complicated to build a “roll picker” allowing to select each individual column and narrow down to what is available for any given guardian.
