The attack in the Botza district and his newfound guardianship had taken a toll on Kaize. He'd sat alone with his Eliksni ward in his apartment deep in the last city. He had the glimmer regularly being paid though he hadn't stayed here for more than a day at a time. It was small, had no kitchen, and the only furniture was a chair and an egg cloth sling. Kaize spent most of his days since cursing Osiris' name anytime he looked into the hatchlings eyes. A knock at the door pulled him out of his brooding and into a more concerned nature. "No one knows I live here.." he mumbled grabbing his hand cannon and aiming it at the door. "Speak or I'll pull the trigger on this...rocket launcher and blow us all up!" Kaize was happy with the lie he came up with. Hopefully it's a deterrent. "I am emissary for lightkell, is Kaize-13 housed here?" After the Vandal had finished the question the door opened for two seconds and an arm pulled him in. "I owe people money around here so.. just Kaize" The Eliksni woman chittered processing the information " 'just kaize' I am here because of the boy." Seeing his confusing she pointed towards the eggcloth sling. "Oh, to be honest I never figured out the gender.. even with diaper changes" kaize chuckled for a brief moment then he sat down and rested a hand on the child "you're taking him aren't you?" The woman waved all four hands "No quite the opposite! Misraaks wanted me to get specifications for ether equipment to be installed, and while your on missions I am to take care of the child. I see you've already spoke to weavers." She gestured to the child and to a rag in the far corner "but that?" "New cloak, old one got shredded by vex this one was made that day, haven't worn it yet." Kaize thought back to the man he'd tried saving, the one who gave him the hatchling. "Maybe wear it? Ikorakell has been looking for you for some time now. Something about fieldwork." Kaize was already out the door cloak in hand. He only stopped to shout back "Look after Akhra for me for a bit" and he was out of sight. He had grown stagnant, he needed work, and if Ikora is looking for him.. that means it's fun work.
