Not the choice I would have made, but you do you.
Maybe someone else would like to take up the mantle? Any takers out there?

I wouldn't recommend upgrade hardwares just to play a game either. It's both costy and time-consuming to build a new machine for now. Also to my surprise, steam would decline a player's refund request after all this mess. If I remember correctly someone did mention that in these threads.
