Getting this error after battleye starts

This has been reported on Windows 8 and 10 as well.
Reinstalls haven't helped, replacing dll hasn't worked, reportedly upgrading to Windows 10 has had some success but also some failures.
Patience is required, but silence isn't

Our issue made it to the top of the issue list in todays TWAB, so we have some progress, however shallow it may be.

What unsettles me the most is that no BNGHelp accounts have come in to acknowledge the issue or affirm that they're trying to fix it. I get a dreaded feeling they're about to drop a "Win 7 is no longer supported" announcement and post an official "solution" that you need to upgrade to Win 10. Or maybe they'll leave it as an "we're looking into it" status like they've left the prerendered cutscenes stutter since Beyond Light launched. Nothing will be done for a couple weeks or months, and then ... *see previous action* Hope I'm being overly pessimistic.
