Limited Edition Redeem code not usable

So in 2017/2018 I bought a Limited Edition Destiny 2 expansion, but never got around to redeeming the code for the game for the cosmetics/items/legendary sword/etc. I have now done this yesterday, via battle.net, since only there the code was still valid. I could not claim it at Bungie/Steam. However, since the game profiles migrated to Steam up until Oct. 2020, there is no way for me to transfer that content to my Steam profile. I contacted Battle.net about this, but unfortunately they were not able to help me out, since the migration took place through Bungie entirely. So here is my question, mainly aimed at someone from Bungie player support: Would it be much trouble to kindly move the limited edition items to my Steam account, like te migration would have been used for before? Or would it be possible to simply put the special items/cosmetics on my Steam account? I have the code and pictures of the box etc. as proof of the purchase should that be needed. Note, the code is already redeemed at Battle.net, again because I was not able to redeem it otherwise.

  • There is nothing that can be done. Had you redeemed the code when you got it, you could have performed the PC move to Steam, but the window for that ended eight months ago.
