Kaize walked for days. The mists made tracking his way back tricky, but not impossible. Aside from the occasional Scorned or taken ambush party the walk was quiet.
"So, even now you can't escape it." Laurian finally spoke, tired of his guardian moping. But Kaize kept silent as they walked.
"You had the easy job you know? You died, nap time, for you it was a blink but for me? I got to spend hours listening to her yelling, begging for help. All I could do is wait for the end to actually get her."
Kaize stopped in his tracks and grabbed Laurian out of the air. His hands wrapped around the ghosts chassis he began to squeeze.
"You want to talk easy? Easy would be crushing you and blowing out my brain. Easy would be finding a nice cave and waiting to die of natural causes.." he brought his ghost up to look him in the eye. "Easy would be more harsh than you'd think."
He let his ghost go and kept walking towards the ship. It wasn't his ship, but Kaize was ready for a mutiny if needed.
One shot rang through the cabin of the ship as the warlock hit the ground unsure of who his enemy was.
"No Name I need you to clear the air right now." Kaize had his sights locked in and a trip mine grenade in his hand just in case. "Are you like the one I ended?"
They sat in silence for what felt like an eternity. Until No Name took off his helm, bright orange eyes pierced the low lit area and were affixed on Kaize. He opened his mouth but no sound came out.
"Oh so that's how it is huh?" Kaize laughed to himself. "I got sent to the reef, with a tainted warlock and a mute."
"He never had a tongue" No names ghost materialized in between them fixed on the hand cannon. "I am his tongue, my name is Raja, his is Terosk."
Kaize fired a shot into a console he designated as unimportant.
"I don't care about names," he stepped closer. "What I want to know is, are you with the dark? And will I do another thing I regret?"
Silence followed.
