Big D&D Dump

I love D&D, talking bout D&D, and I'm not doing much else here so ima tell y'all about my current campaign. It is an attempt at the fabled level 1 to 20 campaign set in a homebrew world and we've been playing for a bit now, hit level 4 not long ago. First up the party!
Ser Jonah Human Watcher Paladin He belongs to a group with a fancy name but most only know it as The Fraternity. It's basically the SCP Foundation, they hunt and capture things, hoard magical artifacts, and secure places of power. Jonah's described as Edris Elba in Thor Ragnarok with a gray duster and a sword and sheild. He's the dad and tries diplomacy with monsters before slaying them. Vos Blackwolf Half Orc Battlemaster Fighter He's just the Hound from Game of Thrones. Big, mean, scary guy with big sword. He's also the son of a Dutchess that, according to rumors, hired a band of Orcish mercenaries to slaughter her family to put her in power in exchange for her hand in marriage and the establishment of a small county of Orcs, Goblinoids, and Gnoll in the middle of the country. He wears dark old chainmail with a wolf sigil on the cloak and has a formerly cursed greatsword with a serrated edge. Silver Protector Aasimar Creation Bard/Celestial Warlock Apparently she fell from the sky with no memories and has been following Jonah and Vos around since they found her. Wears pretty simple traveling clothes and has short cropped silver hair, hence the name. Disgustingly upbeat and loves helping people. "Bob" Satyr Bladesinger Wizard His name is hard to say (or spell) so he just goes by Bob. He's a pirate we picked up on a small island. His captain pinned a crime on him and they left him for dead. He's got a cutlass and a parrot familiar. Pretty much what you'd expect from a Fey Pirate personality wise. Nera/Scamp Half Elf Dhampir Shadow Monk It me. Ginger half elf with red eyes and pointy teefs and wears standard street rat attire. I'm really just a Rogue that knows kungfu. I help folks what need helpin and hurt them what needs hurtin. After she and a few of the other orphans burnt the orphanage down rough housing around a candle, they were recruited into the League of Shadows but with Vampires! The Shadowcourt controls things from behind the scenes with spies, thieves, and assassins. The masters give neophytes their blood which bestows abilities. After their training is complete they are risen to full vamp status, which also fully binds their will to the masters. Nera wasn't cool with that so she ran away and has been running ever since! Isel Firbolg Twilight Cleric Ominous blind viking grandma that sees things others don't. She has a warhammer cane and walks hunched over to hide her armor and size beneath her cloak. She came from a distant land after receiving a vision from her Goddess of something she never told us. The player had to drop out so she died saving us from a horde of demon bugs by staying behind to collapse a mine upon them. Burton Coalcreek Halfling Fiend Warlock Standard Chaotic Neutral, loved fire and pretended he was a wizard instead of a gambler that bet his soul and lost. He died when our ship was caught in a storm and attacked by Merrow. None of us could roll above a 5 and he fell overboard lol.
Alright! I'm gonna try to summarize our adventures thus far across the like dozen sessions or so we've played... We started off on a ship sailing through the arctic ice sheets when a storm struck and wrecked us. After fighting the elements and wildlife we stayed the night in an abandoned whaling village and were attacked in the night by Kuo Toa! We won. On our way to slaughter them we found an intact ship frozen in the ice, a village of friendly dark elves, and some ancient ruins full of mechanical stuffs the fishy -blam!-s were squatting in. So we killed all the Kuo Toa and some crab thing they served then looted the place. I got some Gloves of Thievery that give me +5 in Sleight of Hand and Lockpicking! Fixing the ship up and breaking the ice a bit we set off with a skeleton crew where the storm hit us and we lost Burton, then we stumbled upon an island were we met Bob! After a few weeks at sea we finally reached our original destination, some small fishing village that had been having issues with dire wolves. Investigating the wolves, we met a group of Robin Hood wannabe bandits who pointed us to a cave where we found a cursed greatsword that I picked up. Then we met a friendly retired grandma lich who ate the evil souls and turned it into a +1 greatsword for Vos. Granny Lich told us about a pond where she's heard howls and we set off to discover a werewolf and some dire wolves, that we promptly killed. The rest of the pack appeared and we talked them down, learning about some hill giants coming from the south that chased them out of their hunting grounds. Then we broke the DM by convincing the werewolves to help us fight said giants, also recruiting the bandits and Granny Lich. There was an epic two session battle defending the village from an army of giants, and a boss fight against their leader who had two heads and could do magic. After celebrating our victory we hit the road for the big city and came upon a swamp where we got our asses kicked by some angry plants, then made camp on a sinkhole that dropped us in a hive of demon bugs still tired from the last fight. This is where Isel left the party dying in epic battle. Finally, last session, the super important one where plot stuff has started happening! We arrived in the big city of Not Dunwall and immediately split the party. - Jonah and Silver went to check in with his superiors where he got a promotion, a new holy symbol with a sending stone, and new orders he hasn't told us about yet! - Silver was zapped by wards as she entered the Fraternity building and had a vision of a ballet between angels in the middle of a storm. - Bob and Vos hit the pubs on the docks looking for leads on Bob's old crew and found out their ships stuck in the quarantined section of the city. Apparently there's a plague hitting the kingdom hard. - Vos went to get drunk and the barkeep recognized his family sigil because his mom's in town to speak to the king. He extra grumpy now. - Nera was left unsupervised and told to restock our supplies, so I used my +12 Sleight of Hand to restock our coin purses and bought a bunch of rations and discount healing potions labeled "Wild Healing" potions! Then as we regrouped and were wrapping up for the night doing some group shopping, a member of my old cell approached pretending to be my sister and whispered in my ear that she'd rat me out if I don't help her with a job! So that's all that. Before it's felt like we were just getting are bearings with no real direction, but now it feels like the big plots are dropping and I'm pretty excited to see where it all goes. Next session is next Sunday. I'll write up how it goes after and should be a shorter post than this one lol
