Missed the last time to acquire the Lucent Blade combat style mod? No worries! I have made sure to check every single day for this to happen, and it finally did! For those of you who do not know, Lucent Blade is a Charged with Light combat style mod. These mods depend on a system where you gather stacks of Charged with Light through various means and consume them to gain benefits of your choosing. In this case, Lucent Blade [u]consumes[/u] one stack of [u]charged with light upon damage with a sword [/u] to give you a buffed called [i]Keened[/i], boosting your sword damage output by [b]35% for 5 seconds[/b]. As if that isn't good enough, if you put another Arc mod in the same piece of armor as you put Lucent Blade or have another Arc Charged with Light mod on a different piece of equipped armor, its secondary perk [u]greatly decreases charge time[/u], allowing you to guard more frequently and more importantly, use your sword's heavy attack more often. To gain stacks of charged with light, you must have another Charged with Light mod which has green pictures on it. I generally use Taking Charge because each orb of power grants a stack of charged with light, so masterworked weapons or a fire team that constantly creates orbs can assure you are always charged with light in most circumstances. Since I am a Titan main, I use Crown Splitter a lot because the heavy slam attack with the help of this season's Energy Accelerant mod can one or two shot a champion on Legend and Master difficulty activities. With the right roll and all of these mods, the augmented DPS of this weapon competes with that of Deathbringer. Gambit Prime Evils can fall under 60 seconds and does astronomical burst damage to playlist and nightfall strike bosses, raid bosses, dungeon bosses, you name it. Even if you personally don't prefer swords, I still recommend getting Lucent Blade today just so you have it in case you change your mind about swords. Also, who knows when it will next be available?
